N Scale Model Trains - Are they really so different from the UK and Japan?

The N scale Model Train track is a popular model railway / Indicator scale ranges from 1:148 - 1:160 depending on the country or manufacturer. Although the scale may vary, gauge, or the space between the rails, is typically 9 mm. The main advantage of N scale model railroading is that the designs take up less space than HO Scale Model Trains.

The scale of 2 mm

The scale of 2 mm is a variant that is most common in the United Kingdom. The 2 mm scale 1:152 or 2 mm per meter with the measuring gauge 9.42 mm. To put into perspective the scale, the scale of 2 mm is slightly smaller than the standard British N scale (1:148) and slightly higher than the European level U.S. and N (1:160).
