How I can calculate the extent necessary to raise a model railroad of 7 inches?
I raise a point of my model Train Layout, 6 inches. How do I work best gradient. Thanks. Col Paton
Use porportions and then cross multiply. Cars use a 6 percent and railways least 2 to 4 maximum, life size figure then be converted to scale. First engineers convert inches to feet, 7 inches equals to 0.58 meters to make things simpler. 2 to 100 as 0.58 is x, solve for x. 2x = 58 x = 29 ft
