Getting started in their boxing training workouts

Many coaches have to start training Boxing back to back, thinking boxing starts from top to bottom. The truth is that boxing starts from scratch. Footwork is everything. Great footwork will put in position to hit, and allow you to avoid a blow at the same time. This is called inside and outside of boxing. Fighters that have poor footwork are easier play. They are easy to box out. What if you have big hands, what's the point if you can not use their feet?
Young fighters should be taught proper footwork before punching. The better your footwork, the better their punching will be. Combatants often leave the position do it the way they move. Proper footwork exercises work best to remedy this.Fighters have to teach how to move, but still be in position to dial. That's how boxing is defined. To hit and not be beaten, and still be able to get a strikeout. That's the sweet science. Fighters have poor foot work look clumsy and slow. Ali said to have taken an hour or less around the ring before touching the bag. Now I understand why so quick feet.
Reputation boxing trainer Teddy Atlas would work the young fighters punching stance and footwork for a month or less before continuing. That's why his fighters are so fundamentally sound, working on it.
Working on good footwork is a must. Now I know not want to turn a hard-hitting boxer. Drillers need to have good footwork to hit out. This allows you to be in a better position to hit, and allow him to hit a solid foundation. The results will be faster knockouts for combat. Power drills need to be charged with a solid base hole to dig and deliver its awesome power. No one can deny that or debating this. Just look at how Rocky Marciano punched a solid foundation and of course the ever so famous power puncher Mike Tyson.
Only with the passage of combat around the ring for 4-6 rounds, doing nothing, but in motion, will work wonders for your feet. The boxer will get into his rhythm. He will feel more comfortable to move and realize the incredible power of footwork.
Anyway, I hope to shed some light on back to basics and work the most important basic boxing there. Footwork, and boxing starts from scratch.
